01 · ABOUT THIS POLICY

Who we are

Advanced SEO Toolkit is a Chrome browser extension developed and published by Digimavrick (referred to in this Policy as “Digimavrick”, “we”, “us” or “our”). The extension provides user-initiated, page-level SEO inspection and website-level crawling and diagnostic tools.

This Policy applies to the Advanced SEO Toolkit Chrome extension. It describes the data practices of the extension package identified above. It does not replace privacy notices that may apply to third-party websites or separate Digimavrick website services.

02 · SCOPE AND ACTIVATION

When information is accessed

The extension does not continuously monitor every page you visit. It accesses the active webpage after you deliberately invoke the extension from its Chrome toolbar button or use one of its context-menu actions. You decide when to open the overlay and run a page audit. Website-Level Intelligence is a separate, user-initiated feature. When you enter a website and click “Grant access & start crawl”, Chrome asks you to grant access to the selected scheme and host. Before crawling, you choose whether to respect or ignore robots.txt. In Respect mode, the crawler requests robots.txt and applies the applicable crawl rules and crawl-delay when available. In Ignore mode, it does not fetch robots.txt for crawl-rule processing and does not apply disallow rules or crawl-delay. Sitemap and page requests remain restricted to the exact origin entered, including its port.

When you run an audit, the extension reads page information that is relevant to its SEO inspection functions. The information is processed in the extension's active session to prepare the on-screen analysis and any report you request. The website crawler processes responses from the selected origin in a dedicated extension tab and does not execute the website's scripts or submit its forms.

Important: The extension can inspect the content available in the active tab, including a page that you can access after signing in. Do not run an audit on a page containing passwords, payment details, private communications, health records or other sensitive information unless you are authorized to access and process that information and understand the local processing involved.

03 · INFORMATION ACCESSED

Information the extension processes

Depending on the webpage and the browser information available, an audit may process the following:

Page identity and metadata

  • Current webpage URL, origin, hostname and page title.
  • Meta tag names, properties, content values and HTTP-equivalent directives.
  • Canonical URL declarations, robots directives, viewport settings and HTML language attributes.
  • Open Graph and X/Twitter metadata.

Page content and structure

  • Text available from the webpage body and its visible content signals.
  • H1 to H6 headings, their text, order and visibility indicators.
  • Link destinations, anchor text, link relationships and target attributes.
  • Image URLs, alt text, title attributes, dimensions and loading-related attributes.

Structured data and international signals

  • JSON-LD structured data, including parsed values and limited raw JSON-LD samples used for diagnostics.
  • Microdata item types and property names.
  • RDFa type attributes.
  • Hreflang language values and alternate URLs.

Browser-exposed resource information

  • Resource URLs reported by the browser's Resource Timing interface.
  • Resource initiator types, duration values and browser-exposed transfer or decoded-size values when available.

Google results page information

When you run the extension on an already-open Google search results page, the SERP Companion may read visible organic result titles, URLs and snippets, along with visible People Also Ask questions and related-search labels. It does not run automated background searches or maintain a historical ranking database.

Website-Level Intelligence

When you start a website crawl and grant Chrome access to the selected origin, the crawler may process:

  • The entered website origin and the page URLs discovered from XML sitemaps and internal links. In Respect mode, URLs may also be discovered from sitemap locations declared in robots.txt.
  • HTTP response status, final response URL, response content type and response headers such as X-Robots-Tag.
  • Page titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, robots directives, H1 headings and approximate page word counts.
  • Internal link destinations, anchor text and rel attributes used to assemble the internal link graph.
  • Duplicate title, description and canonical signals, failed responses and potential orphan-page candidates within the crawl coverage.

The crawler is limited to the selected website host and scheme. The crawler itself restricts page and sitemap URLs to the exact origin entered, including its port. It uses unauthenticated requests without cookies or credentials, does not execute page JavaScript, does not submit forms and does not intentionally enqueue external origins. A crawl is limited to your selected page limit, up to 250 page records. Response bodies larger than the crawler's 4 MB inspection limit may be truncated. The crawler offers two robots policies: Respect mode applies disallow rules and crawl-delay parsed from robots.txt when accessible; Ignore mode does not fetch or apply robots.txt crawl rules and may request URLs the site's robots.txt would otherwise disallow. Ignore mode requires an additional confirmation and should be used only for websites you own or are authorized to audit. When Ignore mode is selected, robots.txt sitemap declarations are not read; if sitemap discovery is enabled, the crawler checks the standard same-origin sitemap.xml and sitemap_index.xml locations.

04 · PURPOSE

How the information is used

The extension uses the information described above only to provide its stated SEO inspection features. This includes:

  • Displaying page metadata, headings, links, images and structured data.
  • Checking page-level technical and on-page SEO signals.
  • Producing local semantic and keyword observations from the inspected page.
  • Preparing diagnostic findings, severity labels, recommendations and a rule-based SEO health score.
  • Summarizing browser-visible resources for the Resource Analysis section.
  • Discovering URLs from XML sitemaps for a website crawl you explicitly start, and reading robots.txt directives only when you choose Respect mode.
  • Inspecting public same-origin HTML pages to build a URL inventory, identify site-wide metadata signals, check responses and map internal links.
  • Preparing files when you explicitly request an export.

The SEO health score is a diagnostic result generated by the extension's own checks. It is not a Google score, a ranking prediction or a guarantee of search performance.

05 · LOCAL STORAGE

Information stored on your device

The inspected page data is held in the extension's active runtime while the audit is displayed. The current extension package also writes one small summary record to chrome.storage.local:

  • The URL of the last audited page.
  • The time the audit data was collected.
  • The overall diagnostic score for that audit.

This summary is stored in your Chrome extension storage on your device. It is not uploaded to a Digimavrick server. A later audit replaces the prior summary. The record remains in local extension storage until it is overwritten, the extension's stored data is cleared, or the extension is removed.

Website crawl results, including the URL inventory, link graph and diagnostics, are held in the crawler tab's active memory while that tab remains open. They are not written to Chrome storage or sent to a Digimavrick server by the crawler. If you explicitly export a report, the downloaded file is saved by your browser to the location you choose. The extension does not read your complete Chrome browsing history or build a list of pages you visit in the background.

06 · THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

When information may be sent to another website

The extension does not automatically transmit inspected page content, website crawl results or audit reports to Digimavrick or to an SEO API. When you start a website crawl in Respect mode, your browser sends a GET request to the selected website origin for robots.txt, as well as requests for discovered sitemap files and page HTML. In Ignore mode, the extension does not request robots.txt for rule processing; when sitemap discovery is enabled, it checks the standard sitemap.xml and sitemap_index.xml paths and then requests selected page URLs. The selected website receives those requests and may process standard request information such as your IP address, browser and network metadata. The crawler omits cookies and authentication credentials. Choosing Ignore mode means the crawler will not apply the site's disallow rules or crawl-delay; use it only if you own the website or have permission to audit it. Some optional research tools also open an external website after you deliberately select an action; information included in the destination URL or search query is then sent to that destination by your browser.

These services are operated by third parties and are not controlled by Digimavrick. Their privacy policies and terms govern their processing. A third-party website may receive ordinary connection information such as your IP address, browser information and cookies, as well as any search query or URL included in the request. Review the destination's privacy notice before using an optional action if you do not want to share that information.

07 · DIGIMAVRICK DEEP ANALYSIS

Using the Free SEO Auditor on our website

The extension includes a link to Digimavrick's Free SEO Auditor. Selecting this link opens the service in a new browser tab. The extension does not automatically append the active page URL, page content, audit score or report to that link.

If you choose to use the Free SEO Auditor, any information you enter or submit on that website is handled separately from the browser extension and is subject to the privacy disclosures presented by the website service. This extension Policy does not describe or replace the privacy terms for a separate website audit submission.

08 · REPORTS AND EXPORTS

Downloads and reports

When you choose to export an audit, the extension generates the requested JSON, CSV or printable report in your browser. Depending on the export, the file may contain the audited page URL and title, audit time, diagnostic scores, findings, recommendations, headings, links, image details, structured data, resource summaries or SERP information.

You choose whether to save, retain or share the exported file. Digimavrick does not receive a copy of a report through the extension's export process. Once you share a file yourself, its recipient may process the information in it under their own terms.

09 · INFORMATION NOT COLLECTED BY THE EXTENSION

Information we do not request

The inspected extension package does not include an account system, sign-in flow, analytics tracker, advertising tracker, payment system or remote SEO API integration. It does not ask you to provide your name, email address, password, payment card or financial account information. Website-Level Intelligence does request optional host access for the scheme and host you choose to crawl, after you click the crawl button and approve Chrome's permission prompt.

The extension does not intentionally collect your full browsing history, location, keystrokes, mouse movements, general click activity or private communications. It does not automatically send the inspected page data to Digimavrick. If such information happens to be present within a page that you choose to audit, it may be visible to the local page inspection process described in Section 3. Avoid running the audit on sensitive pages.

10 · SALE, ADVERTISING AND DISCLOSURE

How information is shared

Digimavrick does not sell the page information or local audit summary processed by the extension. The extension does not use that information to serve personalized advertising, build advertising profiles, or determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility.

Information is shared with a third-party destination only when you choose an optional action that opens that destination, as described in Section 6, or when you independently save or share an exported report. We may also disclose information if required by applicable law or a valid legal process. Because the extension does not send its local audit data to Digimavrick, we do not maintain a server-side copy of those local audit records.

11 · CHROME PERMISSIONS

Why the extension uses these permissions

PermissionPurpose
activeTabProvides temporary access to the active tab after you invoke the extension, so it can inspect the current webpage.
scriptingInjects the locally bundled overlay and inspection script into the active page after your action.
contextMenusAdds optional right-click actions, such as opening the overlay, searching selected text or launching a validation service.
storageSaves the limited last page-audit summary in Chrome local extension storage.
Optional host permissionsThe manifest declares optional HTTP and HTTPS host patterns for Website-Level Intelligence. When you start a crawl, Chrome asks for permission to access the scheme and host you entered. The crawler further restricts requests to the exact origin you entered, including its port. This access is used to fetch same-origin sitemap files and public HTML pages for local website analysis. The crawler requests robots.txt only when you select Respect mode; in Ignore mode, robots.txt directives and crawl-delay are not applied.

The current manifest does not request always-on host access at installation. It declares optional HTTP and HTTPS host patterns so that, when you start Website-Level Intelligence, Chrome can ask for access to the selected website host and scheme for that crawl. The crawler does not use that grant to crawl external origins. Browser restrictions may prevent the extension from running on certain protected Chrome pages or restricted browser surfaces.

12 · RETENTION AND DELETION

How long information is retained

The small last page-audit summary is kept in Chrome local extension storage until a later audit replaces it, you clear the extension's stored data, or you uninstall the extension. Page information held only in the active runtime is not saved as a persistent audit archive by the extension. Website crawl records are held temporarily in the crawler tab's memory and are cleared when that tab is closed. They are retained beyond that session only if you explicitly export them to a file.

You can stop further access by not invoking the extension. You can remove the extension through Chrome's Extensions page. You can also use Chrome's extension storage controls, where available, to clear locally stored extension data. Exported files must be deleted separately from the folder or destination where you saved them.

Because the extension does not send the local audit summary to Digimavrick, we cannot remotely retrieve or delete that local browser record for you.

13 · SECURITY

How information is protected

The current extension performs its page analysis and website crawl processing locally in the browser and uses Chrome's extension storage only for the limited page-audit summary. It does not operate a remote account or crawl-report database for this functionality. The website you choose to crawl receives the page requests described in this Policy. When you choose another external service, your browser opens the destination over its published web address and that service's own security and privacy practices apply.

No browser extension or local storage mechanism can guarantee absolute security. Keep Chrome and your operating system updated, use the extension only on pages you are authorized to inspect, and take care when exporting or sharing audit files.

14 · CHILDREN

Children's privacy

Advanced SEO Toolkit is a professional SEO utility and is not designed to target children. The extension does not ask users to submit personal information to Digimavrick. If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to Digimavrick in connection with the extension, contact us using the details below so we can review the matter.

15 · POLICY UPDATES

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy when the extension's functionality, permissions, data handling or applicable requirements change. The updated Policy will be published at this URL with a revised “Last updated” date. If a future extension version introduces a new data practice, the extension's disclosures will be updated before that practice is introduced where required.

Please review this page periodically, particularly after installing a major extension update.

16 · CHROME WEB STORE COMPLIANCE

Chrome Web Store Limited Use

Advanced SEO Toolkit's use of information accessed through Chrome APIs and the Chrome browser is limited to the extension's disclosed single purpose: providing user-initiated SEO inspection and diagnostic features. Such information is not sold, used for personalized advertising, or transferred for unrelated purposes. Any optional transfer to a third-party destination occurs only when the user deliberately invokes the relevant external action, as described in this Policy.

Our use of information received through Chrome APIs complies with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, including the User Data and Limited Use requirements.
